Set in the beautiful mountains of Ojai, this immersive 3-day experience blends deep counseling, adventure, and rest — helping couples heal emotional wounds, restore intimacy, create unique memories, and build a marriage that thrives in every season.
"The Setting Sun" is the name we gave this private 300 sf. cabin that is located at the back of the property with beautiful mountain views. Full bathroom, Bed nook, and kitchen with indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Each stay is adjustable for your particular interests and needs. Retreats can have up to five sessions with Jacob but can also mix in unique recommended dining experiences and outdoor adventure requests like hot springs, hikes, secret water holes and surfing.
The vision behind these retreats:
In his younger years, Jacob was a top-ranked professional bodyboarder and spent many years leading international surf tours. ​​
As an adult, Jacob transitioned careers from surf tours and he and Kimberly began pastoring churches and counseling individuals and couples. He has now spent over two decades walking individuals and couples through the deep work of healing, reconnection, and spiritual renewal. ​​
In recent years, Jacob was inspired to combine his love for the outdoors with his counseling ministry to launch these intimate marriage retreats for couples seeking to move beyond surface-level fixes and step into lasting transformation. These retreats mix transformative sessions in cozy settings on Jacob's property with romantic and unique outings both in the town of Ojai, as well as in the surrounding wilderness. ​​
